I am writing to formally appeal my recent dismissal from the Secret Service branch. While I understand and respect the decision made by SabWasX, who I know was performing her duties as Deputy Director, I would like to request a reconsideration of my standing based on the procedures outlined in the Official WH SS Handbook.
1. Adherence to Disciplinary Policy
According to Section III of the handbook, the protocol for firing a member requires that they first receive a verbal warning followed by two documented strikes on the EE:DB. To my knowledge, I did not receive any prior warnings or strikes before this action was taken. If my activity was the cause for dismissal, I would have appreciated the opportunity to address it through the formal warning system first.
2. Commitment and Outside Responsibilities
I am currently a full-time nursing student, which is a significant "real life" goal that I must prioritize. I acknowledge that this has prevented me from being as active as I would like to be. However, I have a deep love for my job at the White House and a strong desire to continue serving the Secret Service branch.
3. Proposed Solution
I remain dedicated to the standards of the SS and value the professional environment we maintain. If reinstated, I am committed to better balancing my studies with my responsibilities here. I am also happy to utilize the Leave of Absence (LoA) or Meeting Absence (MA) systems as defined in Section V of the handbook to ensure my periods of inactivity are properly documented and approved in advance.
Thank you for your time and for everything you do to keep the agency running smoothly. I hope for the opportunity to return to the team and continue my growth as a Trainer.
