Legislative Report VIII
President O.Stuart.O has signed the following bills on August 11th, 2026:
Crimes (Amendment 2) Act 2026
Sponsored by Corbulo | Signed on 08/11/2026
This Act makes broad updates to the Crimes Act 2025, strengthening due‑process protections and modernizing several offense definitions. It formally establishes that all criminal offenses must be proven beyond reasonable doubt and guarantees accused individuals the right to notice, a fair hearing, and an opportunity to present a defence. Multiple existing crimes are redefined for clarity, including Room Rights Abuse, Dual Employment, Obstruction of Justice, Negligence of Duties, and Unfair Punishment. Several outdated provisions are removed, while new offenses are added, such as Contempt of Court, Accessory After the Fact, Conspiracy, Acts Affecting a Personal Interest, and Abuse of Emergency Powers. The Act also updates the Code of Conduct Act by allowing Supreme Court review of waivers granted under Part 2. In the Prosecution Act, it clarifies that unclassified crimes cannot receive punishments above Class C unless authorized by law and introduces a requirement that courts impose punishments that are sufficient but not greater than necessary, considering the nature of the crime and the defendant’s history.
Democracy (Amendment 2) Act 2026
Sponsored by .NorthDakota | Signed on 08/11/2026
The Democracy Amendment 2 Bill updates the petition process within the Democracy Act 2025. It clarifies that petitions may be signed by GS‑5+ employees and Founder ID members, and only signatures from individuals still eligible at the close of the Petition Signing Window will count toward threshold totals. The bill removes outdated subsections and replaces the milestone structure with a clearer, three‑tier system: a scheduled debate at 20% support, a mandatory presidential press‑release response at 30%, and a referendum at 50%. Each required action must occur within fourteen days unless the petition is withdrawn or falls below the threshold. Overall, the amendment streamlines petition handling, tightens eligibility rules, and formalizes the responsibilities tied to each milestone.
Employment (Amendment 10) Act 2026
Sponsored by Zed- | Signed on 08/11/2026
The Employment Amendment 10 Bill updates both the Low Ranks Act 2025 and the Employment Act 2025 to refine hiring procedures and strengthen oversight of returning employees. It introduces a new review process for individuals terminated twice, allowing Secret Service Leadership—under the direction of the Director of Secret Service—to determine whether the person should be placed on the Training Kick on Sight (TKoS) list. The bill restructures the employment requirements for hiring Low Ranks, branch employees, and unemployed applicants. It standardizes training prerequisites, clarifies cooldown periods, and ensures that individuals on TKoS or National Punishment lists cannot be rehired. For unemployed applicants, the bill allows hiring parties to waive certain training requirements and establishes badge‑based eligibility for direct branch employment. Finally, the bill reaffirms that only branch leadership and the Executive Office of the President may employ individuals into branches, while permitting specific high‑ranking officials—such as the Attorney General, Vice President, Secretary of Defense, and Secretary of Homeland Security—to hire within their respective areas when authorized.
Have a wonderful day, White House.
