"Mr. Speaker, Mr. Vice President, members of the Congress. My fellow White House members. Five weeks ago, myself and the Vice President took our oaths of office. That moment created a historic moment in this iteration of the White House. A moment not a lot of people thought we'd achieve. A moment a lot of folk doubted we'd get to. For the last seven months we have been creating history. And it is down to every person in this room. We have only gotten this far because of you. Because of the team that we are. We are united as one White House.
Folks, tonight marks the 5th State of the Union Address. A very important and vital constitutional duty of any President. The first ever American President started this tradition in 1790, President George Washington. He started this tradition after reminding the nation that the destiny of self government and the "preservation of the sacred fire of liberty" is finally staked on the experiment entrusted to the hands of the American people. For our friends in the press corps who place a high premium on accuracy, please let me say that for the record that I did not actually hear George Washington say that. The first ever Habbo State of the Union address was delivered by President rdm156 on the 19th of September 2014. Almost exactly 12 years ago. The spirit of the White House has evolved and brought us to this moment.
One of the first questions posed to my administration was one of financial concern. How did we handle it? We handled it by giving financial power and confidence back to you, the people. With the establishment of the Federal Reserve, re-instating peoples and allowing for us to fund ourselves. Fund our own events and incentives. I thank the Secretary of the Treasury for her work on this and with the assistance from the Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy. It was a matter a lot of folk were concerned about and I am proud to show that we were able to overcome it. The power belongs to you all. It's how it should always be. My every intention from the moment we rebuilt this White House was to provide an opportunity. An opportunity to experience the White House for the first time for some folk. For others an opportunity to re-live an experience that cannot be experienced anywhere else within the Habbo community. Not only to build that opportunity, but to provide you all the tools and assets beyond the founders. We are making progress. This place belongs to you at the end of the day and I will always maintain that. I will always fight for that. Right now as we speak our administration continues to work on legislation. Legislation that evolve how we work things. Justice Reforms currently being discussed to speed up the court however maintain fairness to all. I want to thank the Vice President for heading that discussion in particular. Further legislation to establish provisions for Veteran, VIP and Financial Contributor status. Establishing the Consultatory Veterans scheme, a scheme I am proud to see being worked on and soon come to reality once again. A lot being made possible with the return of my co-founder, dz? as our Director of Legislative Affairs. Folks, it's not a secret that this being the first administration post the foundation administration that there are still questions. Questions that deserve answers and we still have eight weeks worth of work and progress to get on with. The first responsibility of any President is the safety of you all. Within the first month of our administration we have been able to conduct an official ban on sight instruction and alongside that a national punishment order on the IDF. With eight weeks left, we have a lot more security measures to set in place.
These measures to secure your safety and your future. Measures such as 1P- 1 Punishment. By the time I am here again delivering my next state of the union, I have full intention to ensure these schemes and measures are a reality. We will get it done, that is my promise to you all. To help better this place, to prepare you all for your future. A future you all deserve. So let me say to you all.
If anybody tells you that the White House's best days are behind us. Tell them that they're looking the wrong way! The State of our Union is strong and will only get stronger.
