This is the beginning of the article series "Stories from the Old”. Hopefully, I can get it up and running, and we can have some interesting stories here every week or month from now on. The article series “Stories from the Old” is about memories and funny stories from the previous iteration of the Habbo White House. The Habbo White House has always been a fun place to do serious work, and it will continue to be. Every story counts; let’s get our stories out there to help share the history of the Habbo White House.
The first story at the beginning is my own; it’s just a brief summary of the fun memories I have from the previous iteration of the Habbo White House.
My name is Christopher (christo63421), you all can call me Chris if you like. In early 2016, I was around 15 years old, a primary school student playing Habbo, and looking for something fun. I came across the Habbo White House, which was not so different from the White House we have today. I joined and soon started my work in the Legislative branch as a Senator. Back then, I met many of the friends who work in the current White House as well kevincool@, O.stuart.O, amazingconnor, Arlert., dz? (:QwertyCH), Hexal (Sam117), and many others. Being only a Senator was not enough for me, and I wanted to get higher-level positions; well, the truth is, I never rose to a rank higher than 8iC (GS-9) back then. But that didn’t really matter to me; I wasn’t constantly employed at the White House. Sometimes I went inactive, and then I re-joined. But even though I didn’t have a chance to get to higher positions back then, I tried to make a name for myself. I think I did it pretty well, but I bet I was like an annoying kid sometimes. I tried to talk to all the higher-ups, even the president, who back then was the Habbo user -iElliott. I wanted to get myself seen and heard because my obsession was to get to a higher rank, which, of course, wasn’t ideal. After all, who would want an annoying kid like me to get to the branch leadership or Executive branch position?
I also took part in different other tasks we could grab for ourselves in the White House, like the Education Team, which was part of the Department of Education back then; then I was part of the Events Team, helping out to make events; and I was also part of the Veteran Advisory Team that assisted the Secretary of Veterans Affairs. I had fun; I was also obsessed with the Political Parties we had back then. I founded my own in 2018; it was called Social Union, and I founded it with my friend Val (Pleslin1). I remember we introduced a bill in our Party back then to enable branch internships for lower-ranking members, but unfortunately, it didn't receive enough support. Eventually, the Political Parties were removed from the White House, and the Social Union faded. I remember trying to bring the PPs back, but it also didn’t find any support back then, so the idea was just left to be and fell into the dust. Around that time, the Legislative branch was reformed, and we had a fun new addition to the Senator position: every senator had the chance to choose which tasks they wanted to do. Educational Senators held educational sessions for employees; Legislation Senators had to draft bills; the Activities Senators were responsible for Chamber Activities and other stuff in the branch. It was an interesting addition that was soon removed from the branch.
I also transferred branches in 2019 and joined the Judicial branch, where I participated in mock hearings and began as a Paralegal. After passing the Bar Exam, I got to be a District Judge for some time, but I wasn’t so good at it, so I also tried out the Secret Service branch as a trainer, but that wasn’t for me either. After these experiences, I returned to the Legislative branch and began as a Representative, then as a Senator again. In 2021, I left the Habbo White House and Habbo while I was at university, and I didn’t really have time for Habbo anymore. The old White House was closed down around the end of 2022 and felt like it was lost forever. The fun community was gone, at least for the time being.
When I decided to log back in to Habbo in 2026, I discovered that the community I had been part of for many years was back, and I just had to rejoin. So thankful for the people who have made the new White House's comeback possible. Let’s build a strong new community together for future stories like mine and those of others who have worked in different iterations of the Habbo White House.
